When people say “I don’t know what that is” when looking at a picture of a “mystery animal” taken by a trail cam, but it carries more weight when it’s park and wildlife officials looking for help identifying what it was.
Officials with the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park in Texas posted the picture to their Facebook page with the text “We’re scratching our heads trying to identify this elusive species.”
Almost a thousand people have commented on the post, but there’s still no consensus as to exactly what’s in the picture.
