While everyone is focused on the Titanic submersible story, the ship that the Oceangate tourist trip was going to visit is disintegrating at a fast clip.
The Titanic sank in 1912 and experts say it will be gone within 30 years.
Between the salt corrosion, bacteria, and ocean currents the ill-fated ship is being eaten away.
Even a well-known section of the boat, the Captain’s Bathtub, is already completely disintegrated.
At some point soon, the piece of history will be reclaimed by nature with one expert suggesting it’ll happen by 2030.
