Taylor Swift Fans Cause "Earthquake"

A recent Taylor Swift concert in Seattle created so much ground vibration that it registered as a magnitude 2.3 earthquake, according to seismologists. Seismologist Mouse Reusch and Jackie Caplan-Auerbach are officially dubbing this event the "Swift Quake".

The “Swift Quake” drew comparisons to the "Beast Quake" of 2011, caused by Seattle Seahawks fans after a last-minute touchdown. But the football fans were apparently nothing compared to Swifties. The "Swift Quake" was reportedly more than "twice as hard" as the “Beast Quake!”

The seismologists couldn’t pin down which Swift song was the reason for the Earthquake. But they do say the likely cause of the “Swift Quake” was a combo of the concert's sound system and the dancing of Swift's fans.
