Firefighter Adopts Puppy From To Help Kids Learn About Fire Safety

A puppy rescued from a devastating house fire in Oregon has found a new home with a firefighter in Coos Bay, who intends to use the dog's story as a way to educate children about fire safety.

Smoky endured severe burns but has since recovered significantly, thanks to the efforts of the South Coast Humane Society.

The firefighter and his wife visited him at the shelter and were deeply moved by the pup’s story, eventually deciding to adopt him.

Smoky’s new job is helping with school presentations on fire safety, utilizing his recovery and resilience as a powerful learning tool for children.
