About Us

North Canton Medical Foundation is committed to providing compassionate healthcare of the highest quality to every patient every day and improving the health and education of the community.

Our Audiology Department uses advanced technology to conduct diagnostic hearing evaluations for both adults and children, including infants. A diagnostic evaluation helps detect and measure the severity of hearing impairment and loss in children and adults. It is important to receive a hearing evaluation each year because hearing loss usually occurs gradually over time, making it personally harder to notice. Most patients should at least have their baseline diagnostic hearing evaluation by the age of 50, but with our levels of noise pollution, 40 is not too early!

We also offer ongoing consultations, hearing aid services with a wide variety of styles and models, and hearing protection services including earplugs, swim plugs, and specialty molds.

Services We Offer

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations
A diagnostic evaluation helps detect and measure the severity of hearing impairment and loss in children and adults.

Balance or Dizziness Problems
Using videonystagmography (VNG), a noninvasive test of the balance system, we can determine if a vestibular disease may be causing a balance or dizziness problem. VNG consists of a series of assessments designed to document your ability to follow visual objects with you and how well the eyes respond to information from the balance system. Infrared goggles are used to monitor and record your eye movements during testing.

Hearing Aid Services
Only 20% of hearing losses can be treated medically, so the majority of patients can be treated effectively with today’s hearing aids. These are available in a variety of styles and price ranges.

Hearing Protection Services
Earplugs, swim plugs, and specialty molds are available.
