About a year ago, Mackenzie began to hear a loud beeping in her ear. After a battery of tests she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor.  But even a benign brain tumor can require a lot of rehabilitation to achieve a full recovery.  Mackenzie underwent inpatient rehabilitation for almost two months, working with physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, and completed three months of day rehab. Even now she continues to come to Children’s three times a week for outpatient rehabilitation.
