WATCH: “Bluey” Episode About Moving Inspires Touching Zillow Ad

The Season 3 finale of “Bluey” moved fans of all ages to tears and now Zillow is taking inspo from the episode for a new ad. The popular Australian children’s animated series follows Bluey, her sister Bingo, and their parents, who are Blue Heeler dogs, and in the emotional episode “The Sign,” the family was dealing with all the feelings that come with moving to a new city. Bluey isn’t happy about it and ultimately, her dad, Bandit, pulls the “for sale” sign and decides to stay put.

Now Zillow is partnering with Ryan Reynolds’ production company, Maximum Effort, for a heartwarming ad inspired by the cartoon. Dan Brumm, the actor who voices Uncle Stripe on “Bluey,” narrates the commercial that sends the message that moving doesn’t have to be sad. “At Zillow, we know that a home is more than just floorboards and window sills,” Brumm says as the ad shows a home filled with moving boxes. “A home is where memories are made.”

“And despite how a certain children’s show made us all feel recently, moving into a new home might just be a good thing,” he continues. “A chance to make new memories, a fresh start, a whole new chapter.” The ad then shows the front of a blue house with four dogs - the same kind as Bluey and her family - sitting next to a “for sale” sign. The camera zooms in on one of the pups’ sad expressions and Brumm sighs, then says, “Don’t you look at me like that. Ugh, come on guys, you’re killing me here!”
